Lavender Briggs was a guard for the women’s basketball team of the Florida Gators. She just committed to Maryland women’s basketball. In her first 3 seasons with the Florida Gators team, she averaged around 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal per game. She was reported to be just 39 points away from becoming the 27th member of Florida’s 1,000-point club. She had the highest scoring average on the team for the second-straight season

But sadly Briggs missed the final eight games of the 2020-21 season because of a left foot injury in January 2022. “She is obviously a key component for our team and we will miss what she brings to the court,” said, interim coach Finley “We want her to do what’s best in both the short and long term, not only for her basketball career but for her quality of life.”

Well, the guard pair seems to be in the right direction professionally, while will they be still a couple and taking step further is still to be seen.
