Police: Four arrests made after Caldwell shooting left 18-year-old dead
CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — Four teens have been arrested after an 18-year-old died last month following a shooting in Caldwell.
The Caldwell Police Department says on Sept. 17, a fight between two groups of people broke out near the intersection of Indiana and Hillcrest when two other teens were shot. Both were taken to a local hospital, but 18-year-old Jose A. Hernandez died from his injuries.
All suspects have been arrested and are currently in custody on the following charges:
Ethan Almaraz - first-degree murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, use of a firearm during a felony, and a criminal gang enhancement. Ethan is a juvenile but was charged as an adult.
Jesus Almaraz - aid/abet first-degree murder, aid/abet aggravated assault and aggravated battery, supplying firearms to a criminal gang member, and a criminal gang enhancement.
Jose Cuellar - aid/abet first-degree murder, aid/abet aggravated assault and aggravated battery, accessory to a felony, and a criminal gang enhancement. Jose is a juvenile but was charged as an adult.
Issac Bernal - accessory to a felony.
