Off-leash program for dogs at Ann Morrison, Optimist Sports Complex ending
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The off-leash program for dogs in two City of Boise parks is wrapping up on Monday, due to the return of spring sports.
The City of Boise said starting on Tuesday, March 1, dog owners are asked to once again leash their dogs in Ann Morrison Park and at Optimist Youth Sports Complex.
The seasonal off-leash program will begin again in November when sports leagues wrap up at both sites.
"The seasonal off-leash program at Ann Morrison Park and Optimist Youth Sports Complex is intended to give dog owners another option for their pets to run and play during the winter months," the city said. "The program also helps make geese uncomfortable at both sites."
During the busy spring and summer seasons, the city offers a variety of locations throughout Boise for dogs to play off-leash.
