Novak Djokovic racquet: What tennis racquet does he use?
The World No.1, Novak Djokovic is currently using the Head Graphene 360+ Speed Pro racket. Like most professional players, Djokovic uses a Pro Stock frame, which is a Head racquet, known as the PT113B.
However, when he initially broke onto the ATP tour, the Serb used a Wilson-sponsored racquet until 2008. He also won his first Slam at the Australian Open in 2008 with the same Wilson piece.
This was another Pro Stock racquet based on the H22 mold, which is now available for general sale as the Wilson Blade Pro. That said, in 2009, he switched over to Head, the brand he had used as a junior, and since then has stuck to the leading racquet maker.
Novak Djokovic made changes to his racquet in 2018
Back in 2018, Djokovic also had issues with his elbow, which forced Djokovic to make more changes to the specification of his racquet. His former coach Andre Agassi who was coaching him during that phase helped him get in touch with racquet technician Roman Prokes of RPNY Tennis who worked with Head to tweak Djokovic’s setup.
This involved reducing the swing weight from 370g to 360g, reducing the static weight from 359g to 353g, extending the length of the racquet to 27.1 inches, and altering the string pattern from 18 x 20 to 18 x 19. Djokovic uses the same hybrid stringing setup as Roger Federer, with Babolat Natural Gut in the main strings at 59 lbs and Luxilon Alu Power Rough in cross strings at 56 lbs.
Djokovic has had a stellar 2023 season where he won the first two majors of the year. At the Australian Open, he equaled Rafael Nadal’s record of 22 major titles which he broke at the French Open to take the unanimous lead in the all-time list.
