Idaho elk tags expected to sell out soon for second and nonresidents
IDAHO (CBS 2) — Nonresident elk and deer tags have sold out the past two years, and are selling even faster this year, according to Idaho Fish and Game.
It says Nonresident hunters who plan to buy an elk tag, or Idaho hunters who are interested in a second tag should act quickly.
Monday, just 716 elk tags remained out of the 12,815 available. Deer tags are also selling quickly.
Nonresident deer and elk tags are available as second tags every year after July 31.
If you want to know how many tags are left, head to Idaho Fish and Game for more information on tags.
Also, don't forget that the 2019 second controlled hunt drawing deadline is coming up on Thursday.
The application period closes at midnight (Aug. 15). The results of the drawing will be available on Aug. 22.
