Garden City Public Library to host How-To Festival
GARDEN CITY, Idaho (CBS 2) — Saturday, July 27, The Garden City Public Library will host their first How-To Festival.
"It will be a free, interactive, community, educational event with something for everyone," said Jamie Thill an Adult Services Coordinator at the library.
There will be over 25 presenters leading 29 workshops.
Families, adults, and seniors can move from class to class to learn a new skill. Participants will learn how to play ukulele, practice yoga, Irish dance, line dance, perform CPR, belly dance, fly fish, identify birds and rocks, practice karate, perform magic tricks, sing opera, plant a pollinator garden, make floral crowns, train a dog, start a band and much, much more!
There will be a diverse group of presenters including Opera Idaho, 4H, Boise Astronomical Society, Idaho Humane Society, Boise Rock School, Dr. Picklestein, Mr. X the magician, Golden Eagle Audubon Society, Bee City USA, Fiddle Express, Health Solutions of Idaho, Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology, Irish Dance Idaho, Star Belly School of Dance, and much more.
“We hope to bring people together. We want participants to learn something new and we want presenters to be able to share what they know,” Thill said.
