During the time she was absent from the Tour, she chose to be one of the commentators on the Tennis Channel. Though she enjoyed doing different than playing, Bouchard revealed that the thing she missed the most was the chance to play tennis and always felt the need to be back on the court soon. The Canadian also stated that she kept challenging herself and trying different things out of her comfort zone to stay motivated for the chance to play again.

She admitted to the fact she does follow a particular routine during her match, but not as religiously as Rafael Nadal does. She stated that they are either related to her eating habits or listening to a particular song repeatedly.
Eugenie Bouchard is yet to win a Grand Slam title and has only won one title on the WTA Tour. She reached the semifinals of the Australian Open and the French Open in 2014 but since then, she hasn’t had much success. In 2022, she played the US Open but could not go past the qualifiers.
