Carlos Javier Correa Oppenheimer was born on 22nd September in 1994 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. His parents were Carlos Sr. and Sandybel Oppenheimer. He has a younger brother named Jean Carlos Correa, who also got selected by the Astros in the 2018 MLB draft. Even though his family didn’t earn much, they had a decent amount to build a house by a fishing village in Santa Isabel, Barrio Velázquez, Puerto Rico. As a young as fiver years old, he used to play catch by an alley close to his home which caught the attention of a neighbor who suggested him to enroll in a youth league.
