Ada County Jail to offer $5,000 bonuses for new nurse hires

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Ada County Sheriff's Office is hoping a little extra cash for new nurses will attract more prospective employees.

It's now offering $5,000 bonuses for registered and licensed practical nurses that join the Ada County Jail.

All newly hired nurses will get $1000 upon hire; a $1500 bonus after 6 months on the job; another $1500 at their 1-year mark; and a final bonus of $1000 at the 2-year mark.

"Our staff makes a difference every day," the sheriff's office said. "If you are in the health care/nursing field and that philosophy sounds good to you, we would like to hear from you."
