73-year-old found touching himself inside movie theater arrested, banned: Report
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) — A 73-year-old man is no longer welcome to attend movies after police said employees found him pleasuring himself inside a theater.
Paul Wright was arrested in Mt Pleasant, South Carolina Monday at theRegal Palmetto Grande on one count of indecent exposure.
A police officer responded to the movie theater at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre for a request from management to remove someone from the property, according to an incident report. A manager led the officer to theater 15 where Wright's face could be seen illuminated by his phone.
As the officer approached Wright, he reportedly quickly turned his phone off and attempted to pull up his paints, but they remained partially undone.
Wright denied exposing himself.
Management told police that Wright has been asked by employees to stop pleasuring himself inside of theaters "five or six times" but that he has continued to do it. In some instances, Wright was reportedly not the only person in the theater.
Wright was removed from the theater, arrested and banned from all of Mount Pleasant Towne Centre.
Jail records show he remains in custody on a $15,000 bond.
